Polo 1.2 tsi heavy fuel consumption

Hi im getting high usage urban, drumiving eco harldly going above 2000 rpm, best i can get is 8l per 100km surely thats heavy based on what i have seen

Hi Superfly

I know your post is old. Did you manage to find out if that is indeed excessive fuel consumption? I am also between 7.8 - 9l per 100 in urban, but I always just though it normal. Also, sluggish acceleration for the first second or two. I have a 2015 tsi

I would think for a 1.2 that, that is rather high. My 2.0xt forester averages 9l/100km on an urban cycle and my TT 1.8T avg 7 to 8.
