Citi golf

Post by Dries_Qwerty »

Hi dudes, I bought my first car a few weeks ago and I was wondering how I could find out which engine I got in. It has a carb and I know it is a 1996 Citi Golf, but the VIN number doesn't come up on any googled sites. Are there any visual ways to find out if it is a 1.6 L as that is what I was told it is.
I know the engine blocks are identical to the other displacement sizes and only the stroke length differs, but isn't there any easier way to find out?
Thanks
Dries
