Jetta 2 Litre highline cuts out

Post by JVTsi2L15792 »

Hi all members of this cool club ! :troll: I am actually very experienced with volkswagen cars as I put more that a million kilometres on Volkswagens and current my Jetta IV , 2 litre Highline (APK Engine) , sometimes cuts out when the fuel tank is below half. The cut outs only last a few seconds and you can feel a faint surge and then it goes again. The car has 372 00 km on the clock and never ever broke down and I can say this for the all the Volkswagen cars I have driven. I also still have my Jetta 3, (2 liter Cli) that overclocked and now has 37 000 km on the clock again and same story :violin: Still problem free and 20 years old
I do my services and cam belt changes myself and have the genuine VCDS cable and software. When the tank is full or above half, it never happens. Can it be my fuel pump packing up, but why only when the car has less fuel ? Could it be a fuel pressure problem and a full tank holds the pressure ok ? I changed the fuel pump relay, but that did not help and the VSDC scan found no faults
