I'll be there with my Polo GTI....

My car has not been on a dyno after downpipe & exhaust...
Would like to c what it going to do...

What time do they start. Might bring the ZAF OPC before it gets sold.

so what would you say, is to blame, when in 14 years, KAR's dyno NEVER broke down?
Its the luck of the draw my friend, and what happened last night has NEVER before happened at KAR.

It was a real downer when it failed on us

Man, that dyno was doing some weird things last nite

One car pushed 20 HP and one car was given a minus reading

.

So i guess we cant takes the results seriously until the dyno is fixed

I dont fancy a HP dyno in anycase

Off course you can take them seriously.

The one or two cars that ran when the speed sensor broke will obviously be wrong, but there's no reason to doubt any of the other figures.

Can you remember what car had 20hp? If it was an Opel it could well be correct.

i think ARBEE's 1300 ran 26hp, i was expecting more from my 1.4i with filter, branch, exhaust and CAI, only got 65.3 hp!!!

dont know if that is right or not?

oh ok cool stuff. is this a good reading for those mods or should i get it tuned to oush a little more?

and if i do cam it, what power cna i expect?

e.g. like 268 - 70hp, 272 - 78hp etc etc

maybe mine was a wednesday car but my 1.4i with exhaust and header only made 76whp at kar and snail.

Sounds about right. I think Arbee made around that number with his ex-Velo.

Yeah, my velo was 64.7hp with Branch and FF...

Shane actually thought that it was the same car he dynod yesterday... Imagine having a cars power drop from 64.7hp to 26.2hp, i would jump off a tower!!!

But, i promise you, drive the MK1, it really doesn't feel that bad!

Not so happy with the BM, but i suppose for a 525 auto it was normal - 116.5hp @5682rpm/147nm @4088rpm

Jokes aside, my power reading seemed a bit low, I made 97.3hp and 139nm, any Idea what the 2l8v golofs made?
Was expecting more frm the Slopel as it made 104hp and 150nm at JMS 2-3weeks back and it was serviced on Saterday just before the Dyno!

You can't compare 2 different dyno's.

I have to say, i was also v v disappointed with my reading.

Only pushed 92hp and 111nm. Car made 98.8hp and 123nm on the same dyno about 3 months ago.

We did retard the timing just a tad (2 or 3 degrees), but it shouldnt have lost almost 7hp!
