Format of the Gymkhana!

There will be a gymkhana in the pit area which leads out onto the track! There will be a few surprises on the track to slow you down. This will lead to a reverse gymkhana back into the pits.

Classes are as follows:

1.4i and 1.6 carb = Class F
1.6i and 1.8 carb & (1.4i and 1.6 carb Modified) = Class E
1.8i and 2l carb & (1.6i and 1.8 carb Modified) = Class D
2.0i and 1.8 16V & (1.8i and 2.0 carb Modified) = Class C
2.0 16V and Vr6 & (2.0i and 1.8 16V Modified) = Class B
2.0 16V and Vr6 Modified = Class A
Tdi = Class TD
Turbo = Class T
O = Open

And now for the best part!

Will be sponsoring us a DEMO vehicle! The top 2 drivers in each class, except the Open class, will compete in the DEMo vehicle for top honours as the VW Club's best driver! The car could be either a Polo Gti or a 1.4i Citi!

Prizes up for Grabs

1. 3 Tracetec Vehicle Tracking Units and a Year's Subscription for each sponsored by .

2. R1000 KONI SA voucher
3. A full refurbish on a set of wheels AND a Polished lip/dishes of a set of wheels from the Wheelshop. Wheels must be in fair condition
4. A Full Genuine Leather interior for a 5 seater car from Philton Autotrim worth R6000!
5. A complete Glaze from Auto Spa!
6. A complete MP9 "chiptune" from Frieling Racing.

howzit Guys,

Sorry this might sound like a stupid question....i would love to attend the event and race my cabby too.... so i would like to know....it is R60 to race on the track.....but do you need an MSA license and do you need to be a club member etc etc?? The real question is, what are the "requirements" ?

If none, then see you there!!!!

So how many runs/laps does each class get?

No, you dont need an MSA license. As a non-member, you will pay extra to enter (R100) and you will enter in the open Class. However, you don't qualify for the final round driving the sponsored car, only VW members have that privilege. You get as many runs as time and the number of contestants permit, at least 2 runs though..

Yes, Supercharged cars will fall into the turbo class.

bog standard

just some lights some crystals and a de trumpet. so that makes the car around 2kgs lights. lol so that means my power to weight ratio is increased by 0.0536 HP/ton. so i suppose u can say its modded.
