Angela's Picnic - 1 April 2007 Modderfontein

DO NOT GO TO DELTA PARK ON APRIL 1st!

Angela’s Picnic this year will be held at the Piston Ring Clubhouse at Modderfontein.

Lots of shade, a full bar, catering, easy access and egress. Please bring chairs as the surface is not that smooth and though there are trees – bring a brolly anyway. Drive carefully as there are some ditches and rocks.

The Tops Only, d’Elegance & Comique competitions take place during Angela’s Picnic on Sunday 1st April 2007 at the Piston Ring grounds in Modderfontein.
Gates open 08h00
Tops Only:
Registration at 09h00
Judging starts at 09h30
Both the d’Elegance & Comique:
Registration at 10h00
Judging starts at 10h30
The d’Etat cars to please be on show during the morning at the Piston Ring.
Clubs are encouraged to use this show day as a marketing opportunity.
The prize giving (including d’Etat) to take place from 12h00.

DIRECTIONS:

Take the Modderfontein turnoff from the N3 turning East. After the traffic lights at Boulevard 2., take the angled turnoff to the left to Modderfontein. Beware of speed bumps down the hill. Keep left where the road splits, straight round the circle at the Shell garage and over the dam outlet. Second left after the dam into High str. and you will see the entrance on your right.

This event has to be one of the best annual events SA has to offer! It involves every single car club and I'm talking Lambos, Ferraris, Porsche Car clubs to name but a few. I attended last years event at Delta Park and it was breathtaking! Picture this...EVERY CAR CLUB you can think of all based in one location showing off their pride and joy...its an event that can't be missed, infact we as VW Club should show in up in BIG numbers!

Come on guys, who's going to be attending????

To the commitee, don't forget the walkie talkies, route guide, back-up vehicles, medic, helicopter, GPS co-ordinates, rest points and a brief history lesson about the area we're going to, including the fauna and flora
