That time again, 1st gymkhana of the year. Sunday 21st Jan, venue = Ottery HyperMarket, First runs from 9am onwards. No practice runs, drop your slowest run.

Members = R30, Non = R50

Please this is a new venue, everybody please behave themselves, otherwise, we'll have to get tough :x

2007 GTi Club Classes and Rules for Gymkhana’s:
A (VW) - 2.0l 16v, & VR6 + any non production Turbo
plus all 1.6/1.8/2.0l (8v & 16v) with side draughts
1.8 20v Turbo (MkIV) Non Standard

B (VW) - All 2.0l 8v with Fuel Injection
1.8 20v Turbo (MkIV) Standard
1.8 16v Fuel Injection only
All 1800cc 8v (Std Carb/Fuel Inj) Modified

C (VW) - All 1800cc 8v Standard
1600cc Modified

D (VW) – All Std 1600cc and below

O - Open Class

L - Ladies (VW only)

R - Racing Cars

GTi Club Rules:
Ladies:
- points towards GTi Club Ladies Championship will only be allocated to gymkhana's (excluding Track Days and BlockBuster events)
- Any ladies in Non VW / Audi will be scored in Open Class.

Cars and Drivers:
- Maximum of 2 drivers / entries (different drivers) per car.
- A driver may only enter once in a class BUT may enter multiple cars.
- Maximum of 2 entries per driver.
- A driver may not enter the same car in multiple classes.
- A driver can nominate to compete in a Higher Class, but not in a lower Class.
- Road Tyres have to have been road legal (no racing slicks - marked Not For
Highway Use) and roadworthy (minimum tread depth of 2mm), however "semi /
intermediate tyres" do not have to be roadworthy iro tread depth, thus enabling
members to run "used intermediate tyres" that can be obtained from the
Challenge series, subject to scrutiny by our scrutineers.

Points:
- Points are allocated to Paid up / current members only and can NOT be back dated.
- Open Class members/entrants do not qualify for Overall Positions.
- Events "by invite" do not qualify for points.
- Points are NOT transferrable between classes.
- If more than one car is driven at an event (in same Class), one MUST be nominated for points scoring.
- The GTi Club Champion is the VW driver with the most points overall.
- The GTi Club Ladies Champion is the female driver with the most points overall.
- Should 2 or more drivers end on the same amount of points, the winner will be the one who has entered the most events. This applies to other positions as well.
- Should the number of events be the same, we will refer to participation in non competitive events, such as breakfast/mystery runs, karting, concours or members meeting attendance.

Points Allocation:
- All club members will be given 2 points for every official event entered.
- Gymkhana = 10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 in each class, sliding scale. 3, 2, 1 Bonus for Top 3 VW's overall.
- Pop Robert = We will score club cars separately (removed and scored together)
- VW vs Other = 10, 9, 8 .... 1 points for top 10 in each class, thereafter 1point for each competitor, for each event. Sliding scale to apply.
- BlockBuster Events =10, 9, 8 .... 1 points for top 10 in each class, for each event. Sliding Scale.

quick question, if i had ITB's i'd be in B but sideys put me in A? am i right in my understanding?

Nope, need to update to include the ITB's :wink: So that ITB's and Sides are in the same class.
