VWCSA - Puppies in the Park

Post by DieterMK5 »

Hello VWCSA friends and family!

It's time for our next event, and it's one that we're always very excited about: Puppies in the Park!

Image

If you've never been to one of these before, here's how it works:
We'll be meeting up at a large park with our cars and canine companions and spend a day hanging out and having a relaxed day in aid of our furry friends. As is our custom, we like to support the smaller, lesser-known charities so long as they are registered. With that in mind, this year's edition sees us joined by Pretoria Dog Rescue (NPC 2015/416285/08).

Founded in 2013, the pro-life organization goes to extreme lengths to save every animal possible. The only way that PDR can sustain this is with donations and your support, so that's where we all come in. Along with volunteers to help at the kennels and foster parents for some of the dogs, PDR needs a bunch of items to help make the lives of our fury friends as enjoyable and safe as possible.

With us looking to maximize the ways we can help as much as possible, we'll again be hosting the event on the last weekend of the month so we can all contribute as much as possible. So let's get to the details:

Date: Sunday 28 March
Time: 10AM onwards
Venue: James and Ethel Grey Park, Melrose
Cost: R25 per vehicle

Pretoria Dog Rescue wish list:
  • Monetary donations (to help pay our kennel fees and vet bills)
  • Monthly sponsorships for kennels
  • Dog food (dry and tinned food)
  • Uncooked rice
  • Blankets
  • Harnesses, leashes and toys
  • Big water bowls and galvanized baths (for the dogs to swim in, especially in summer – it gets quite hot in the
    kennels)
As always, you're welcome to bring your friendly furry friends along for the day but we do ask that they stay on their leads. Bring along a picnic basket and a blanket or indulge from the vendors supporting us, and we'll have a relaxed day with our cars as the perfect backdrop.

Anyone looking to sponsor any goodies for raffles on the day, or anyone looking to otherwise make a contribution that could help Pretoria Dog Rescue can get in contact with us right here. We'll release any new information here too, so keep an eye on the forum and our socials for the latest.

We hope see you there!
