The 1st Midas Ceres Gymkhana takes place on Saturday 3 June 2006 and given the fact that the 75 strong entry includes most of the regulars as well as a healthy number of new faces the day should once again prove extremely entertaining. Thank you to Steven de Koker and his team at Midas Ceres, this is set to become another great event!
For your own benefit please note that this is a first time event. Due to the cost of toilet rent and cleaning of the site pre and post event an entrance fee of R10 per head will be charged for spectators. Entering the complex, spectators keep left and competitors and officials turn right. Bring your own gazibo, chair and ...... dress warm. This is the Boland and though rain might be avoided the chill cuts to the bone in the early morning and late afternoon.
Refreshments such as coffee and hamburgers will be on sale during the day and prizegiving will be held at the Ceres Spur. Danie Burger will be present to record the action onto DVD whilst André Mitchell have written a new software package to facilitate the new format. Neville Gleeson will once again have the Jayen Timer present and a split time will be considered for the day.
Take note: Start in number sequence and keep your arms inside the cars to avoid costly penalties. If the CoC does not give you permission in writing to start out of sequence you will be penalised!
Those who have not as yet applied for a new MSA Club License please attempt to be at documentation as early as possible, it's quite time consuming and forms that are not completed properly will result in refusal to start. If you expect to receive information we need to be able to read your handwriting and properly completed contact details. Even if you have completed twenty entry forms and nothing has changed it needs to be done properly for every event entered - this is the details that will be used after each event!
Till Saturday!
