VWCSA Presents: Breakfast Run & AGM

Post by Sebz »

Hello hello!

First of all, thank you to everyone who joined us at the second consecutive annual Krugersdorp HillClimb! Despite many last-minute and on-the-day headaches thanks to third parties, it’s safe to say that everyone had a blast - except maybe that one guy who wanted to race for free since the event was announced, but hey, if you don’t ask, you can’t have. Overall, despite the sunburn, things were better than last year with regards to timing, coverage, and pre-registration.

As you may have noticed, there have been no details for October’s event. I’ve set a deadline for this coming Monday with involved parties, and if we can’t put on a great event, we’d rather cancel and have no event at all.

Nevertheless, November’s event has been confirmed since mid-September, and here it is!

Image

VWCSA Breakfast Run & AGM
DATE: SATURDAY 30 November 2019

START VENUE: Tasha’s Bedfordview
END POINT: Gas Monkey Pub & Grill Vanderbijlpark

We’ll meet at Tasha’s around 8:30AM, with departure scheduled for 9. A relaxed cruise to the Vaal will see us end up in the parking lot of Gas Monkey Pub & Grill - apparently they’re having a little car show there in the afternoon, which leads us to why we chose a Saturday and not a Sunday. Firstly, it’s the first weekend after payday and the only such day that still falls under November. Secondly, with it being a Saturday, we’re hopeful that more individuals can attend.

Members and non-members are encouraged to attend and have their say on 2020’s direction for the club. I personally have been working on some ideas behind the scenes, but if you don’t like them, there’s no point. So pull in and tell us what you’d like to see change, what you’d like to stay the same, and what should be scrapped entirely.

This is also where we’ll elect a new committee - 2020 committee nominations here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=218137#p2605022

If you’d like to help, please click the above link and nominate yourself - we could really use all the hands we can get!

See you there!

Yeah this sounds like something I should be able to make - but with kids in tow, of course. And driving the mummy caddy so breakfast will most likely be served, shared and splattered in the car.

But I digress :-)

Come through, you'll make friends. My first event I didn't know anyone, made friends first day and even became part of COMM for 3 years.

Hi

Could be your synchros that are worn out.

In future rather create a topic with your question and a heading of a brief description of what the problem is in the correct section. For example this would fall under general tech.
