VWCSA Presents: Soapy Rides Car Wash

The return of a club favourite - Soapy Rides! An event named after the venue at which it occurs, Sunday the 28th of July will see us head out to Soapy Rides in Ferndale for a relaxed social with the added benefit of getting our club members’ cars washed at a discounted rate!

Venue: Soapy Rides, Ferndale
Date: Sunday 28 July
Time: 09:00 - 14:00

Cost: Regular price R80 - you pay R65 on the day!

As always, all cars are welcome - even those not endowed with a Volkswagen badge!

Coffee and refreshments available on site.

Club merchandise, including membership packs and caps will be for sale on the day - card facilities available.

Come join the club for a great day out and meet fellow enthusiasts - we may even quietly release some details on our next event, which will be a big one!

its a pretty long drive for me, would like to go though as fratelli had great pizza the last time i was there.

I don’t know specifically what brands, but if your coating or wax is worth being called that, the car wash won’t affect it.

Waxes and coatings are not all permanent but should not be affected by other cleaning products so long as the detergent is PH neutral and is not designed to decontaminate, which most car washes are. The other factor is of course the method and the cleaning utensils (washing mitts, drying cloths, etc.)

Soapy Rides has a great reputation though, and was a club favourite for a long time, so I wouldn’t be worried.

Thanks for the info..thats why i asked what liquids as i dont want my wax to be stripped so as you said if they ph neutral then we should be gold

Yes you can, they have a wide variety of services of which you can discuss with them directly on the day which would be at discounted prices too :hug:
