And starts at about 7 until midnight...

well it's what i am going to be doing, so we are both in the same boat...

push comes to shove we sit in the corner and just enjoy the view.

Trust me guys, the COMM guys are very friendly...You have nothing to worry about....

One of my first events where I met the VW Club crew on my lonesome was a dyno day at Panic's spot years ago! And here we are today

Somebody will talk to you or just go ask anybody about anything on his car. Guys that frequent club events simply want to talk to you/anybody about their cars and that is the common denominator isn't it ?.
I went to my first vw club event in 1991 and to this day still know people I met there.
Just do it. No reason to be shy or not go becuase you don't know anybody.

look for this car - come talk to me. See you already know somebody.

Yeah evening event is actually great to catch up for a change.
Haven't been around because no race type cars anymore and most weekends there is some sort of dyno or car repair appointment I have. Just parking shooting the breeze is quite welcome.
