Wow. So good car for Gymkhana = Polo
Bad car for Gymkhana = MK1 Golf/Caddy

well done guys, looks like you all had a blast!!!!

One the Polo vs Mk1 argument. I must say, even though I don' own and haven't owned a 9N or 9N3 Polo, from driving my friends one I found the handling to very predictable and I think that is something that is key in a Gymkhana event, you need to know how the car will react and how easy it will be able to correct it if the tail steps out or if it understeers.

Looking forward to the Hillclimb event, I am feeling serious event withdrawl symptoms

i dont really think so. i think it comes down to not trying to hard. The harder you push on a skidpan, The more mistakes you are going to make.
And with a tight, technical layout like we had, we saw that the guys that pushed to hard lost a lot of time

I somehow doubt it hey, that car makes too much power for a wet Gymkhana track and with the lead foot that Wikus had it would just be wheelspin

I must add... the front tyres on the car was wrecked even before the race, and I bent that little 1.4. It was on revlimit non stop. If I had fresh Yokohamas on there it would be even faster.
Its not so much what you drive, Its how you drive it. And yes, just flooring it isnt always the best, but if you can use all your power correctly it will work.
