The track is obviously still physically there, although in terms of events it is officially closed.... we MAY be able to arrange a hotwarm lap or 2.

Not keen, when I went around in 2011 the front of my car was sandbalsted by the cars in front of me. Seems the circuit at that time had alot of dirt on it, just imagine what it will be like now that it is not used

Yes that is the plan.

We need to have an 'end point' to the official run, and with it being top gear weekend, there is simply no where else available that offers enough space for us to all meet up in one spot

Durban is going to be crazy this weekend with all the Top Gear guys in town

Well you do not HAVE to go around, but the option may be there for those who want to.

And as with any track driving, the key to not getting stone chips...... is....... to be in front!

Indeed, I had fun last time actually just the front end of my car was not loving me too much
There was not enough space to overtake, besides if I was in front the poor guys behind me would not have been able to see with the thick soot clouds

Ya me neither, Taking the polo this time, I looked at the golfie yesterday and thought F%^&it I should have prepped the golf for the trip, but we are a little shy on cash at the moment so the less we spend on petrol/diesel the better.

Just to clarify - the purpose of rolling in to Hesketh at the end of the Dubrun is to get everyone in one spot, snap up some pics, do a de-brief and officially 'end' the run - it is not aimed at giving people track time, although we will see if we can do this for those that want it..... definitely no full hot laps, but I am sure a warm lap over most of the track can be done.

It would be good if everyone pulled in so - it will make an EPIC pic of everyone in one spot, but of course, nobody is holding a gun to your heads.

fair enough, we will do our best to pull through however like I said we have to collect our keys at 3 as the housekeeper of the place we are staying at leaves at 3.
