Most anticipated event of the year is on its way!!!!!

VWCSA DubRun 2013

Date: 31 May 2013
Time: 5:00am - 2:00pm (approx.)
Location: N3 to Durban
Cost: R300 (This includes one T-Shirt, Two Dubrun stickers and a roll of blue tape)
We are also planing on sorting accommodation packages, So check here for details.

Meeting Point: The first Total Petropoort a few kilometre's outside of Alberton on the N3 to Durban at 05:00 to leave by 06:00
Registration Pack Collection: Thursday 30 May 2013, 19:00, Fourways undercover parking lot (Next to Ster Kinekor Entrance)

Tape Up: 30 May 2013, Fourways Mall Undercover parking lot, 19:00

Pre registration is mandatory, If you have not registered and paid by the cut off time you will not receive a pack.

Reg forms will be up soon.

If you would like extra shirts, at a cost of R200 per shirt, please indicate on the form how many and size and we will try and accommodate you as far as possible. The last day for registration is Friday, 24th May 2013...

Yeah Gspot come on dude. Weekend of the 14th is LOOOOOOOOONG weekend so more people would be able to come and it will be Less leave some people need to put in and some people also writing test end of may. If its #1st of May i wont be able to attend either

wana go - can we as member vote on date please?

Im not trying to be ugly or what so ever, but honestly I feel as members we are entitled to a "say" when it comes to big events like these.

I feel it's only fair to let the members vote on a date that majority can agree on, before making it official?

guys it is in the school holidays so will be hell of a busy and alot more expensive

Guys the problem with long weekends is the traffic and a convoy of 100+ cars is not ideal in those conditions, also accomodation on long weekends tend to be limited.

We sat along time as a com and spoke about this and tried to get the best for everyone. We will never make everyone happy we tried to make it fit in the best for everyone as we can not cater for each individual or else it would never happen.

Chairman, let your members vote bud. Why was it decided end of May? Weekend of the 14th was perfect. It's long weekend, like brendon said. Less leave for most people. It's the weekend before holidays start so I'm pretty sure accommodation tariffs are still out of season, plus you have TOP GEAR that weekend which can attract more guys to your events

And the 17th of June is a holiday, making all accommodation for that week peak rates. Nevermind the premium it will attract because of the Top Gear Festival.

Too be honest those that are regular Dubrunners will make a plan no matter the date...If losing 1 day of leave due to not having it on a long weekend then so be it. I can assure you that driving down on a long weekend is an issue, with that amount of traffic one accident ruines the entire drive down!

You want a quite weekend to do this on so 31 May or 7 June whatever just not the long weekend I say
