Yup, semi's definitely didnt give any benefit as it was impossible to get any heat into them...atleast didnt destroy my road tires...so its a fair tradeoffSemiColon wrote:Man, it was awesome!!
The track was More slippery than a normal road....which was quite scary the 1st time around...
16" PGTI wheels just wasn't up to the task, i was under-steering like a pig...(I secretly but openly blame the Dunflops)
Bar the Start i used 2nd gear the whole track... so no clutch and gearbox ‘syncro’ destruction was necessary, but i may have lost a bit of time out sharp corners waiting for boost to pick up again...
Also, my last run i gunned it at the start....wheel spin...7500rpm
where in thee hell is my limiter...
The Chicane, lets call it VWicked corners, and underneath the Bridge were the
scary parts where you can easily stuff up everything...
This was really an epic event where absolute power was void and driver skill and vehicle handling was the main focus....
..i said focus didn't I (facepalm)

Did 54's in two different cars, one of which I drove for the first time around a track.
So this time round, victory is mine, rofl, we go again at the next event.

After watching the action close up and going around with a few drivers, it must be noted that our club has some fine drivers. Titleist, Kibim, Bigmig, Dazza and Jojo (in no particular order and sorry if I have left anyone out) know that I rate them very highly, and to add to that list I must include Racingfreak - dude, respect. I just need to come up with a new rank as The Stig is already taken .
