VWCSA Kyalami Experience 2012 *Great Success*

VWCSA Kyalami Track Experience 2012
Date: Sunday, 29 July 2012
Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm (aprox.)
Location: Kyalami Race Track
Cost: Member rates R400, non-members R600.
Pre-Reg cut off date: 26 July 2012
We will be capping entries at 120 cars and will be on a first come basis.
There will be a lot of interest so I suggest you guys get cracking if you want a spot.
There will be various classes and will run in 15 min sessions per class.
PLease note the Marshalls will be giving a driver's Briefing at 8am! We'd like everyone to be there at that time please.
First session starts at 8h15!
NB: Helmets, Closed shoes and long sleeves are mandatory for all drivers and passengers.
Pre registration is mandatory, If you have not registered and paid by the cut off time you will not be included in the event and won't receive any points.

There's 2 ways of track racing ... one is racing, and the other is what we put on here. Its a track experience day, not a race day. Do a few laps, get comfortable. There's a slow class to feel your way around the track, and some instructors on hand to show you the way. You don't have to kill the car to have a little fun. I've done track days with no brakes, no tyres, i've done them in 2l 4cyls, V8s, 125ccs, 250ccs, 6 speeds, single speeds, it's not about the power of the car, it's about being on track and not being able to wipe that grin off your face.
Ask Larry. He didn't want to drive last year. Eventually we had to get the marshals to remove him from the track! Magsta in his car too, 1600 iirc, also had heaps of fun. Even Neuk in a diesel wasn't granny driving for a change.
It's not a race, it's for fun, in a safe environment. Seriously. Give it a go!

It's okay. you will just see a black flag and then you won't ever be allowed to attend ANY VWclub events.
