Can I extent this invite to the SEAT club as well? I don't think we're affiliated with SAMCA but maybe we can come under the VWCSA umbrella?

Yeah, get them to come along, they don't check any affiliation and it is a fund raising event, so the more the merrier...

Some background:

This event is in aid of the Cancer Association and in memory of Angela Heinz who initiated and arranged the event until cancer took its toll.

Angela Heinz was a remarkable lady who’s interests included crop-sprayers, off-road motorcycles, Opera, Morgan cars, rifle shooting and Dobermans. How’s that for diverse interests?

She kept a Rolls Royce in England called Edwina for regular sorties to the Continent, studied fashion in London, Haute Cuisine in Paris and life in the world at large.

She arranged this totally laid-back, uncompetitive picnic in the park to give SAMCA members and the public the opportunity to see a variety of very special cars in one place. SAMCA (South African Marque Clubs Association) is the co-ordinating body for over 40 one -marque clubs catering for Classic cars in South Africa.

Angela died of cancer some years ago and a collection is made at the picnic every year, which is donated to the Cancer Association in her name for research...

Johannesburg - A fire at a substation caused power outages in parts of Centurion on Monday night, the City of Tshwane said.

The cause of the fire, which engulfed one of the primary substations in the area at 6pm, was unknown, spokesperson Console Tleane said.

Centurion Lake, Centurion CBD, Highveld, Highveld Techno Park and parts of Zwartkop were affected.

No estimated repair time could be given as the damage had yet to be assessed.
