I really had a mixed day.. Was great seeing some friends again and having a chat. Was also great finally meating Hoosen.

Thanks to the Comm and Shane for their hard work.

Jetta wel run 1 was done in 3rd gear and looking at the vid my brother took the car was wheelspinng from +- 4500 rpm to the limiter @7500 rpm stil made 240 Hp ... Not bad - suppose. Run 2 was a desaster ! Just as the car stared making power the boost cut . I was so pissed !!! On the vid you cam see power picking up quickly to +- 265 Hp and then it just falls to like 160HP....

So I whent home and found the problem..... A little pin hole in the one silicone hose that runs thru the firewall. What we heard was the wastegate opening and defaulting back to 0.3 bar ,suppose I should be happy that nothing majour is wrong.... A well never say that live isn't full of fun in a modded car ! - als took the boost pipe and cut it up with the grinder ...last time that came off.

Ooohhh Hoosen I watched the Vid of your car and you clearly hear it missing once or twice. I think that there was some detonation due to the petrol that you had in not mixing properly.Ps that car still made hudge power.

One super event.

Best organised one in a long time. The queue kept moving, numbering system worked the berries, and just a lekker alround kuier event. Parking was a bit stretched, but none the less, it made for awesome viewing of all the cars on display there. Some sweet rides too. I loved the PGTi with the black and white theme going on, looked awesome. And was good seeing some of the regulars.

Thanks comm for showing nic how an event should be run. :hi:

Thanks Comm for a great event ... I really like the new venue for KAR ... more ventalation and one can breath.

I'm happy with my run, feel as tho the car's map is settling nicely now and can feel a 10 - 15% increase with some driving time.

Cool meeting up and chatting to all the familiar faces. Can I just bring up 2 gripes which can be looked at for future dyno events :

1: Why only one dyno run? I mean WTF! Two is compulsory in order to back up the first run.
2: I understand that the committee cannot control roudy or reckless members or non members. But a simple rule of some sort or punishment should be in place for those with fewer brain cells who damage other peoples cars through wheelspins on dirt and stone etc .

Kibim wrote:Thanks to all who attended! We had a good day, running 103 cars in total. We ran an AVERAGE of 20 cars an hour! That's a great achievement by Shane and the KAR Team, so thanks to them for that!

We had some really interesting stuff on the rollers, a beautiful looking RX7, some E46M3's, An ST or 3, some wonderful sounding 2.0 turbos and a handful of very strong K04 GTIs. Thanks to our resident IT Guru, the results should be up pretty soon, the new club scoring system worked excellently! Thanks Dazza.

Marko (MeanTDI) and Rion (Jetta16V) helped me keep the traffic flowing, Marz, Madri and Trippy handled the entries, Jashan did some running with entry forms and the shoe-polish, Arbee and GVN were holding down the memberships, so all ran smoothly. Thanks guys.

The Top Gear ticket draw was done around 15h30, the 5 winners were announced. Thanks to BP Ultimate for the Tickets. Congrats to the winners, you'll be contacted shortly to collect your tickets.

Mike from NF generously donated some little blue bottles for the class winners. Those who hung around towards the end of the day got their prizes. I distributed a few extras to the strongest Stock Mk5 GTI, and the strongest Polo GTI on the day, Chiltenburnt and Dood.

Other than that, 7 hours in the sun, some good company and a successful day. Big thanks again to all who attended.
And me :hi:
Agreed, was an awesome day. Had to put up with alot of whining due to the single run as opposed to 2 runs. We will look at that going forward.
I was pretty happy to see alot of different brands turn up on the day. RS, ST, M3 's, 4X4's, RX7

Abit dissappointed with my car's result, but at least I know she's not 100%.

Thanks to all for pulling in!

It was great to see some new faces and compare to the likes of Astra OPC, Megane RS, Seat Cupra (thanks for the ride Steve), Focus ST (Mat'ts black ST is INSANE), E46 M3's, 207 GTi's ... the list goes on and on

Thanks to Shane and the KAR team (Shane you must have forgotten how to drive my remapped TDI - boost spike FTL).

Food came in time - guys were getting hungry - thanks guys!

The rest of the comm for making it a great success!

Sorry I had to leave before 3 but daddy duties did call.

Cheers Marco.

Thats what concerns me the most, the safety aspect, bodily harm and property damage. The road where people enter and park should have a speed limit imposed. Boosting your turbo car down there to anounce your appearance is not cool neither is departing in a cloud of tyre smoke. My pal and I were chatting behind Jamals Roc when all of a sudden were had to turn our backs as stones and sand came flying our way. The Roc unfortunately took damage and shielded us from that neanderthals disregard for people and property. I really feel for Jamal who had to leave the event with a less than pristine condition Roc. I honestly have no idea what motivates people to behave like animals, was it booze?

Great event guys, and my first in 4 or so years as a non-committee member, which was both great as I felt mroe relaxed at the event, but also sad as I strangely miss being on the committee and getting stuck in planning and running events  A great turnout from both guys entering and those just coming through to watch and socialise, with some great cars being run on the dyno and soem fierce in calss competition, especially amongst the TDi boys  There were one or two unfavourable incidents, which I believe have been dealt with, so I won't mention them further, but all in all a great day out...

Was a very well organized event , Shane was like speed dynoing! Matt's ST is insane! 690nm from a front wheel drive and no LS diff. And i must say after seeing the power of some of those KO4 Gti's that is next on my list of must have's! I was happy with my 245hp and 432nm  but as always never enough!

awesome event !it was really well planned and executed.the system for getting the correct cars on the dyno was perfect.......i am a bit disappointed with my run being the only GTI to be run in 3rd gear whereas all other G6 and G5 GTI where dynod in 4th ........wich is a bit unfair but hey there is always next time :hi:

Nice meeting everyone ,for me the highlight was the 335i sedan with software and exhaust ,the sound it made was
