VWCSA :: Breakfast Run 2011

Hey guys, as you know we kick off every year with an epic Breakfast Run, this year we plan to go even bigger with a new destination a new route and a lot more cars.
The date has been fixed but we are still deciding on a Starting point.

This is a event for the whole family and The Volkswagen Club of South Africa is known for having the biggest most epic runs of all the clubs.
We just need to discuss a few things but make a note for 5 February as this is going to be the event of the year.

Destination: V-dub day

Meeting Points :

We have decided that it will be better to have one meeting point for the JHB/PTA people rather than 3, Driving together is kinda the point

So we will be meeting at Kyalami main entrance parking lot

Meeting at 7:30, leaving at 8 am

From here the convoy will meet up with the next group at

R59 Block House
On the R59 just before Henley on Klip/Meyerton
(around 8:45 -9:00) will depart from here at 9:30

For the guys from JHB south can meet us at the block house if they don't want to drive all the way to woodmead and back again and hopefully some guys from the vaal will join in.

And guys remember to bring a skottel and some chow, or a picnic basket so we can have a cracker of a get together and to enjoy the day amongst 100's of fellow dubbers.

Going to the vaal dam to meet up with another event for me is pointless, the VWCSA breakfast run should be an event in itself, not merely a boring, straight 140km cruise to another event. Just my 2c.

Can't we have it on the 28th instead, and do it like last year? I know there's a lot going on behind the scenes, appreciate the Comm's hard work.

I 2nd, 3rd and 4th this, guys driving 2.0 golfs will need to use almost a full tank and really its gonna be one straight road
