Who's Marco...?

And where are the results...?
Marco is one of our Tuners, map tuning etc.

@1.8R_Andre, thanks bud. Yeah Marco will def be finishing the map now that certain probs have been fixed. Especially sorting out that launch control. 4500rpm was set as a safety precaution when i had the bad clutch, purely so that i couldnt launch destoying the last remaining bite it had.

Now that i had a new clutch for the hillclimb it didnt need to be there. We thought it had been removed on the last ecu tweak but clearly not...LOL. I only found out it was still activated the night before the hillclimb. Getting away off the line must have looked so GAY! Felt like an eternity waiting for the turbo to spool.

Yeah i dont know about your car but my sti still bogs a bit at 4500RPM.

None the less i think you did realy well. We must go to more events.

Marco is Phoenix mapping. Still unknown in some circles but on par and more meticulous then the best tuners in the country.

thanks alot for an awesome event Comm, well run and went pretty quick.
times just got quicker as the day went on, guess guys just got alot more confident as the day progressed!!!

@ GTIDon, yeah i felt the same at first but then realised that if i want to race and be in line for my next run, i need to stick by car or better, sit in it so as not to hold up the whole days event. Imagine sitting after every 15 cars have run, waiting for okes to come from the spectator areas back to their cars so that they could line up for their next run. The Club would never have gotten has many batches in as they did.
So as much as the Comm, needs to develop a system, i think it is up to the competitors to do the right thing and stick by theirs cars if they want to compete.
and as for those that just cut in from the sides, not on, get in line and wait, IMO. :bang:

Agreed Jody.
Everyone are adults and we as comm members are not school teachers to tell guys not to cut the queue.
I will mention this to the rest of the comm guys and a lady.
In an event that is run with a batch queue system, as Jody said be by your car, so we can get as many runs in as possible.

@ GTIDON -> I hear you bud. Point noted.

So it boils down to, if you want to get your turn, you have to park infront, block the whole road and just get into your car when you want to ride, because even if you sit in your car from the back, you will never get to the front.

But with all the cars blocking the front and some even parking in the intersection prevents anybody from even being able to move

I missed it again!
But it's for the better, the new clutch really needs running in. After 250km I can really feel the grip improving. If I abused it on Sunday I might have damaged it. :bang:

Next time......
Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting what a ride!

Hi all

Thank you for the feedback, compliments, complaints and criticism...

I thought it was a great day out for everyone, with no major incidents, some great racing, some close battles and a whole lot of spectators

I am busy with the results, I only got back from Cape Town last night, so haven't had a chance to do them...

Cheers
