It was nice meeting you Donovan. Your caddy looks good.vdub caddy wrote:Thanks Guys great event and to all who organized the event.
Was a pity that there were so few N/A cars and even less in class A.
But anywho, great to finally meet some of the guys.
I had a blast.

82.3kw @ 3391rpm and 291nm at 2526rpm
59kw. I think...Le Clue wrote:What did the orange 1.6TDI Polo do on the dyno?
I did 61.6KW on the wheels. According to Derrick, if I multiply by 1.324 I get a rough figure of what the KW on the flywheel is. And that's 81.6 KW. (214NM at the wheels, 284NM at the flywheel)Titleists wrote:59kw. I think...Le Clue wrote:What did the orange 1.6TDI Polo do on the dyno?

I don't think that's bad considering I haven't done much to the car. Only a decat, PD160 and flatbed...
Glad I outscored the 1.6TDi...
Ag sorry man. Ek kon nie onthou presies hoeveel nie.Derrick wrote:Multiply by 1.34for the kW on the flywheel.

i asked trevor marco and he said its true wheel kilowattMeanTdi wrote:Did Trevor recalibrate the dyno since our last visit with Ruan and Nando? Damn that looks very stingy...
Between what I've heard and what I've seen of other dynos, I think this one is the closest to being correct, especially if you compare manufacturer specs to the dyno readings. Somehow VW missed the plot on the standard Golf V and VI GTi power specs. The new Polo 1.6 TDI, Golf VR6 and the Renault Clio sport are all correct when you multiply the wkw with the correction factor.MeanTdi wrote:Did Trevor recalibrate the dyno since our last visit with Ruan and Nando? If I use the same formula i did 65.5 KW on the wheels. Multiplied by 1.34 comes to 87.8 KW on the flywheel. Not too bad for a stock Citi R-line.Derrick wrote:Multiply by 1.34for the kW on the flywheel.

Was it recalibrated since our last visit when I met Ruan and you there?convict 66 wrote:i asked trevor marco and he said its true wheel kilowattMeanTdi wrote:Did Trevor recalibrate the dyno since our last visit with Ruan and Nando? Damn that looks very stingy...

i have no idea marco but trevor did pul up one of his racing MPS cars and it did make reasonable powerMeanTdi wrote:

That is a ridiculous claim to make and anyone converting to ATF power needs their head read...Derrick wrote:Multiply by 1.34for the kW on the flywheel.
Seems many of the usual suspects with their big HP turbo cars were missing on the day.panic-mechanic wrote: By the way - did I miss the really powerfull aftemarket turbo cars or ain't there any in the club anymore or did they just not pitch.
