Re: MK1 Gti - Engine light

golf4ever wrote:Hi Guys,

Just got my MK1 Gti. I noticed it starts fine but sometimes the engine light comes on. I can also hear a winning sound coming from the dash.

Any ideas in what the problem could be?

Re: vw estas cam

The easiest will be to contact Nellis, he'll be able to tell you what cam and specs it is  Sportcam Tel: 021 949 9914 037D identifies it as a 5 journal, hydraulic semi finished cam. LYC1 code can trace it to year, month, day and shift that it was manufactured. That cam was locally ground to a...

Re: vw estas cam

Please see pictures below, the cam shaft has a bit of surface rust which im gonna take care of. The identifying marks are clearly visible and when compared to a G can the difference is evident. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd260/mafosta/Mobile%20Uploads/20150330_175821_zpseebfvpvr.jpg http://i...

Please make sure you have the polo fuel level sending unit installed, if you use the Golf's one your fuel indicator will show empty when full and vice versa

Exhaust issue

good day guys I took in my ABF Jetta in to Noise Boys for a new exhaust as the old system had corrosion and was now too loud for my liking. I had the two silencer system installed and afterwards my jetta was sounding much better. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd260/mafosta/mk2exhaust2_zps37fd1d...

what you wanna do is like using petrol on a parafin primus stove. For the dash to work properly you gonna need the signals for it, the peedo must electronic. The Rev counter is on pin9 on a millenium computor box. other tings you have to look at are your fuel indication, temp, etc. Cut and paste won...

Now if you look at its cousins the VWs and Audis there is a lot of variety to choose from. What I wanted to know specifically is, can the normal Vw 8v engine run on a system th...

I want to find out if I can run a golf 8V motor with that polo fueling system. I tried looking up the injector flow rates but i came short.
