Re: 2007 VW Polo Classic 1.6 16v BTS Engine (Auto) Help Plea

I can't recall if the BTS ran a marelli ecu
If it did you can look for a 1.6 vivo auto ecu and get someone to help with the coding

Re: Project :Polo Vivo - Performance Upgrades

So, to update a little.. My initial impressions after I've been driving with a working intake for the last 2-3 days has left me feeling quite chuffed with what this one mod does to the vivo overall. The vehicle sounds bone stock as you cruise and part throttle your way around, but the improvement in...

just do the DP. Anything more make the cars sound **** IMHO. Resonance technology in SA is still in the dark ages, or rather the locals just dont put effort into it. You heard the TMSS mk7r? Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk Nope, TMSS is one rare example of guys who do good work though. Sadly it...

Re: Project :Polo Vivo - Performance Upgrades

Only reason i suggested the 4-1 is the vivo already has a much better midrange vs the older 8v MPI / MP9. It does have a great midrange, on the stock inlet manifold especially. When testing a new inlet, torque suffered despite a higher CFM achieved. So on that premise Im developing with that in min...

Re: Gyeon Bathe+

Bathe+ also excellent to provide some quick protection. Say after a regular wash and clay job, you simply add some Bathe+ to a foam cannon - foam the entire car and blast off with the HP washer. End result is a slick, glossy car protected with si02 and has great hydrophobic properties that should la...

Re: Project :Polo Vivo - Performance Upgrades

Please tell me you're going to look into a 4-1 header design? Grant, Im working on both 4-2-1 and 4-1, however 4-2-1 will be sold as part of the package as it aids drive ability keeps the torque spread good from bottom to midrange. 4-1 types will be on order and specifically for guys who are lookin...

I tried out some sizes as a thumb suck but it wasnt right.
Waiting to get my hands on a dial gauge and degree wheel to find some values regarding the valve lead, else its almost impossible to find these values required for getting your tuned length out.

Thanks Strat.

@ Brandingo This is just the mock setup, the pipe work will be refined - am looking into composite material for it. but overall the kit will look like that with a duct at the front of the cannister that clips into the oem air scoop

Re: Raw fuel smell - Mk6GTi - Help needed

Check the fuel lines leading into the engine bay - blue/black iirc
Check also the pipe thats coming off the HPFP
Check the pipe going to and from the fuel filter under the vehicle as well.

Re: 1.8T overheating issues

Have you attempted pulling off the lines leading to and from the heater core and flushing with water and compressed air? once thats done fill up with new coolant etc and make sure there isnt an airlock any where else that also leads to heating. In the rare instance it can also be symptomatic of a he...

Re: Polo Vivo Timing Issue

It's possible the timing is out, they are interference type so hoping you didn't bent a valve slightly.
To get timing right you need a tool to lock the cams at their respective timing marks before putting the chain on

Re: Project :Polo Vivo - Performance Upgrades

The power figures are relative to much bigger motors such as the abf on average. Are this claimed figures not too ambitious for a 1600? I would assume increasing the displacement and headwork, upgraded fuel delivery systems and maybe if at most, itb's on a 16v with those large cams should get you t...
