Re: Golf 5 MAP sensor - issues

Rmvb is read meausre value block channel 115. There it shows u what the ecu wants and what the ecu actually sees from sensor at a given rpm and throttle position. You need to look at that. You also need to check the voltage on the sensor when the error is present. Because input voltage affects what ...

Re: Golf MK3 intermitently doesnt start / cuts out

On the carb models the dist was common and on the injection units the terminal 30 voltage supply relay was the cause. Remove relay open and solder the points again and see. It is a no30 relay if it fuel injection.

Re: To buy or not to buy polo cross 1.6tdi 2010

They not that troublesome. Injectors are dam expensive between 8 to 13k each but they don't usually give problems. Turbos don't give problems that quick. The actuator can give issues as it electronic and in most cases can be bought lose. Egr cooler can give problems and that's expensive. Egt sensors ...

Re: Golf 5 MAP sensor - issues

Please check what the read measure values are in rmvb115 when the error comes up. Also the map sensor is not the only sensor on the circuit if you look at the diag. Bothe fuel pressure sensors and g40 is on the same power supply and the earth too. If any of those sensors is pulling power or earth it...

Oh yes for the chain timing you will need the tool to line up the cams as you need to loosen the pulleys to tension chain. The crank you can line up with centre rib and key way.

Remove the intake pipe to get to top bolt.
Remove the diss charge pipe and the silencer on the turbo makes for more space and remove the n75.
You will battle to brake the clamps on the wastegate actuator and head unit.

Re: Intake Manifold Flap Actuator

Those actuators fill with oil that is intake and it affects the readers or they strip the plastic gears in side.you can remove the unit and pry it open the clean it but make sure you can get a backup unit just in case. They also blow the 10amp fuse in fuse box for the actuator and radiator fan contr...

Re: Golf V Gti - Central Locking Fault

This sounds like a few issues. Id say scan car and see what the errors are. There should be for door locks so need to replace. There can be a door harness error as in broken wires or a tail gate harness brake at the flex point. The siren it self could also be faulty as they on side of rain tray out ...

Re: Citigolf with no brake lights

Get a multi meter and then check if there is 12v on the 12v supply wire into the switch. If there is , its the wire to the rear if there is not check at the fuse box or wire to fuse box.

If you got vag-com you could also try the read measure value blocks as that will tell you whats reading and what its reading. The pinch protection rubber and wire harness at top is what usually gives a problem.

Re: Polo vivo 2011 1.4i

Just do a comp test. What happened with some polo 1.4 and 1.6 units was that low comp on a cylinder due to valve guides worn will cause car to misfire and turn on epc light.
It will register misfire error. If that's the case get a new head or just redo the current head with proper guides.

Re: Vacuum box

Yes they buzz when u turn it off sounds like a cow under bonnet. It loses vacume as it is not a vacume retainer it splits the vacume up to to the actuators. So when engine stops the vacume falls away. There is some retention in the vacume ball that sits next to oil filter. Why did u change it in the...

Re: Vacuum box

Ths units are not always the same and do function different. Why you say your one is not holding pressure? They work on vacume and dont retain it. They use what they need for the actuators and it bleeds it off to the air box via the vacume hose. if it does not bleed off the vacume then boost and oth...

Re: Fuel guage of Polo Gti 9n3 not working

It is the sender unit in the tank. The resistor plate gets affected buy build/corrosion from the fuels.
you can replace the unit seperate on some models or else the complete pump unit.

Re: Polo 6c GTI DSG knocking in manual mode

Please note that when driving the polo gti / tdi and 1.2 in manual mode the gear box characteristics change to sport mode resulting in harder shifts and more of a mechanical feel to it. This also results in some noises. Any repairs done to the car will result in a warranty rejection and the same rez...

The time delay anhigh rpm of the engine will cause the box to take long to shift as it waits for engine to firdt drop rpm and its safe to select second. Dsg flash will work.
