Re: Golf mk7 gti-common problems

Easy answer. Directly connected to your right foot and heavier than the i10. If consumption is a major concern then that is the wrong car.
But I always say work on around 10km/l and you would be safe as an average. It will use more in heavy and city use and be lighter on the open road.

Re: YASSSSS, VCDS cables.

Ok let's get it right. Hexdiagnostics is the hardware / cable manufacturer for ross tech. So all the cables ross sells is made by hex. Ross tech though does all the software/firmware and owns the rights to everything. Hex locally sells the cables and the fact that it is a genuine cable opens the sof...

Re: Golf VR6 - enigne mod advice?

Fuel economy is perfectly achievable with the correct tuning and the right management even while using batch injection. But hey personal pref ence is personal preference. You use what you like but sequential is not the be all and end all of tuning. Literally it's big gain is clean emissions(very low...

There is nothing wrong with the lubricating properties of castrol. What it does in the long run is cause sludge. If you don't mind a dirty engine inside continue or use the castrol.
That is all I will say on that.

Re: 2001 Jetta 1.9 TDI AHF start problem

No it was a fully ecu controlled pump. Not a simple switch. The amount of fuel injected is controlled by the ecu. So baically there are mainly 3 reasons these pumps stop working The seals leak and it gets air in. The shaft that drives the pump internally snaps The control unit on the pump fails. All...

Re: Mk4 GTI coolant loss

There is 1 bar of pressure in the cooling system when it is hot. Anything more will get blown off by the water cap. Not a good indication of a blown gasket. If they immediately go hard even when cold - sure. I did not even go to fuses in the check list because heck that is always the very first thin...

Flow is measured in volume over time. Ie something like litres per hour.
pressure on the other hand is measured in bar....
Just saying.

If there is no heat exchanger then you very likely have a blown head gasket. Does that oil smell like engine or gearbox oil?
