They did my 17 year old cabrio and are doing my 30+ year old Mk1.

I've seen a 1965 Corvette in there.

Think you're safe guy.

They'll sort you out. Go to their workshop and see the cars they're working on.
You'll hand your car over on the spot.

Re: Level of Risk involved with a Golf GTI?

The same is true about current Polo's, Golf R's.

Phone your insurance company and ask them the risk profile associated with the vehicle. Factors like the are you live in, where you work, where the car is parked in both locations - the routes you travel to get between the two etc play a huge factor.

Re: Golf 4 Vagon - Project New Daily

And now I'm changing the whole braking system completely, so the delay was actually pointless.

Send me a pic of the Vagon's roof centre console when you get a gap, I have some Mk4 bits that might be a nice upgrade if your car doesn't already have them.

Re: Purchasing a Vehicle _ Dealer Fees

A full PDI is supposed to be done when the car arrives from the factory as a start, that's before it even gets onto the sales room floor or is booked into dealer stock. So that they can fix any dings or scratches, dead batteries etc. The "PDI" they do before you collect is just making sure...

Re: Project Kirschwasser

So, after doing some shopping around for some tools I'd need to sort the brake lines myself, I think I am going to use the new booster and master cylinder. I'll buy the tools I need when I am back from leave along with a few meters of new brake line and couplings. Then I can flare the lines exactly ...
