 VR6 lip
Hi guys,
So I got myself a VR6 lip for my caddy, and want to fit it tomorrow, is it a big hassle to make them fit? I know i have to take the bumper off for it so that you can do a proper job, but what would be the correct way to fit it?
Thanks in advance :D

 Re: VR6 lip
the vr6 lip fits into the bumper via slots in the bumper and clips on the lip the caddy wont have these, thus you will probably have to self tappet it. as well its going to be too long, so will have to be cut good luck

 Re: VR6 lip
Best would be if the bumper is off, align the VR lip, clamp down drill holes through lip & bumper, where you can bolt & but it, Pop-rivet etc.
Mark excess that needs to be cut off, mask off to ensure you cut straight (Jigsaw is preferable)
Put bumper back & admire your handywork

 Re: VR6 lip
do not pop rivet it on, it'll come loose,
take bumper off, align and cut where need be in the centre, use heat gun to make it look really niceand mould the cut bit, then drill holes and put 6mm bolt and nut ... the best way to do it..

 Re: VR6 lip
Drill holes and use small screws rather - this way if you need to change the lip in the event of it breaking or getting damaged it will be easier to remove...

 Re: VR6 lip
Personally, I would have gone for the Golf 2 16v lip.....

 Re: VR6 lip
you don't need to take the bumper off.. All you do is jack the car up a little.. Then you align the corner of the spoiler to the corner of the bumper.. Its much easier if you have somneone to help you hold the spoiler in place as you use dry wall screws to attach the spoiler to the bumper in the corner.. Then attach the side of the spoiler and then work towards the center off the car Do'nt attach the entire spoiler leave about 15-20cm.. Follow the same steps attaching the oter side Once done there will be an overlap of the two sides..Center a line with the center line of the car.. Cutt off the excess and attach the loose bit on either side..
