Post '96 Mk3 Golf VR6 *new front discs and pads fitted*
1996 Mk3 Golf VR6
141 000km
Built by VW AG in Germany (confirmed by VIN # check)
Imported from Austria. The SA built VR's had black side beadings, black top sections on the bumpers, and black wheel arch mouldings.
The Euro models had colour coded side beadings & bumpers and no wheel arch mouldings from info I have scrounged up.

Stock except for exhaust(cat removed, 57mm pipe + 2 boxes, done by Cowley) and 17 inch alloys and dropped suspension(??mm, but damn low)
Cloth seats (pics of interior will be taken next week)

Bought the VR on Friday after seeing it in the For Sale section on Tuesday 3rd November, went to see the car, ummed and ahhed a bit with the SO, spoke some more to Shah, Friday the deal was done.
Paid 58K for the new baby.
Thanks again Shah, she is a beauty

On to the pics then.....

Engine has had major service including chains and tensioners and cover thingy sprayed with Duplicolour, other than that is it totally stock and runs like a dream.
A few minor mods are planned so far.

Rims will be changed to some Longbeach goodness, suspension to be done with some KONI niceness, engine bay to be neatened up and a few little personal touches.

Thanks for looking :driving:

Thanks bud!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, we are very very happy with the VR!
Absolute bargain for the condition it's in.
A few minor little dings (one dent in the driver's side front fender), a bit of road rash, but nothing serious.

Interior pics will be up on Monday

Haven't finally decided on what to do motor wise yet, but let's just say the name Rotrex comes to mind :driving:
A small sound system will be fitted as the current set-up is so-so.
Just a new HU, new front splits, new rears, a 10 inch sub and an amp with a neat custom boot build to keep space will be done over the December hols.

AMAZING looking VR...IMHO a car in that OEM condition is hard to come by and should stay that way without bastardising it...I would keep it as OEM as possible...but hey...different strokes for different folks...

Yup, plans for the Rotrex are progressing nicely :driving:
We are both going to drive it, on a 50/50 basis.
The Polo GTI idea we had was scrapped due to the VR popping up!

Thanks Malek! Yeah, the wheels are nice, but they are going to change.

Yup! The sound is addictive!

Thanks mate! Only outward things that are changing are rims and 35% S&G tinting, the rest of the bodywork is staying as is.
Not going to get bastardised at all, don't worry

Thanks bud!
As Bunnee showed ^^^^^.

Got some new dashboard airvents (the old ones were a bit fooked), thanks to the Uber Spares Guru Mario. Thanks Mario!
Some other small bits that need to be done, like some security goodies (getting fitted tomorrow), 35% S&G, the sound system etc.
I will post pics up on Friday of the interior after it has had a good cleaning session.
