mp9 Wiring diagram needed
Hi all
So my fuel injection conversion on my ADY citi is so to say completed, i am just having a few drawbacks regarding the wiring. I am keeping my stock citi carb loom for lights and oil sensors etc. I got hold of a wiring loom from a fuel injected model and took the main plug that goes into the mp9 system and neatly took all the wires coming from it to separate them from the rest of the loom. There are however a few odd loose ended wires and my knock sensor and distributor plug needs to be soldered in as well as the loom came without these. So the idea is to just plug in the few needed fuel injected sensor plugs to run the motor and still keep my stock loom in place. I have got all the plugs, which include the following, the plug that hooks up the TPS and fuel rail, a distributor plug, a 3 pin coil plug, water temp sender unit plug, knock sensor plug and a altitude sensor plug and the main plug for the mp9 ecu. Most of these are already connected to the loom, but as said, there are a few loose ends. For the fuel pump i have addad a relay with a simple switch, so this doesnt needs to be connected to the loom.
I am hoping someone could give me a wiring diagram of the standard citigolf mp9 wiring loom so that i can finish my project
My motor comes standard with a crank angle sensor and i would like to know if it is possible to wire this into the loom as well to get more accurate ignition timing and possibly run a coil pack, while still using the mp9 system?
Thanx in advance

Re: mp9 Wiring diagram needed
There is actually a pin that will switch on a relay that will activate this when the engine is running and kill the pump when the engine stops- pin umber is 25 on the mp9 plug. This pin you wire to the pin number 85 on a relay and on pin 86 and pin30 you put 12v. Pin 87 then goes to the fuel pump +.For the fuel pump i have addad a relay with a simple switch, so this doesnt needs to be connected to the loom
No it's not possible - mp9 cannot read a 60-2 trigger. My motor comes standard with a crank angle sensor and i would like to know if it is possible to wire this into the loom

Re: mp9 Wiring diagram needed
Hi Nicky here.
original harness in mk1 gold rabbit. found a shorterned mp9 harness and computer box for engine and fuel injection control.
All seems to be plug and play. can someone please tell me , where do I connect the new fuel pump to. the guy where I got the mp9 harness from indicated that I need to connect the fuel pump directly on pin 15 of the ignition switch and the other wire to earth. My opinion is that we need to wire the pump through a relay as well to avoid to much current going trough the ignition swith.
will pos 15 be acc on the switch and is that stage one that I can use for the fuel pump.

Re: mp9 Wiring diagram needed
connect the pump via a relay but use pin 25 from the mp9 ecu to switch the relay on, the 4 injectors also run off a common +ve and linked to the fuel pump +ve. So the relay will switch the pump and the 4 injectors on whenever pin 25 of the ecu tells it to, if you turn ign onn the car but do not start it, the pump and injectors will prime for a second and then switch off instead of running for no reason, same will occur in case of an accident, all will switch off once motor cuts out.

Re: mp9 Wiring diagram needed
just buy a shortened mp9 harness, then all you need to do is connect is power to the loom and fuel pump relay and connect the rev counter, the rest of the wiring on the car will remain the same.
