Water temp sender housing leak

Morning,

It seems that the FI head i acquired from 8V is slightly different than the others i have seen before.

It has a recessed area where the housing that holds the font water temp sensor bolt on. The flange is thus pulled up but the o ring cant form a seal.

Is there another type water housing to ask for at GW?

Have anyone seen a head like that.

Any help would be welcome.

There should be no different housing and no recess - was maybe some rust. Have that machined flat or try finding a fatter o-ring and or add some sealant.
