Vacuum leak and green residue in Intake manifold

Post by Swaerie »

Hi all,

Seen multiple reads on vacuum etc.

Misfire at idle. Converted 1600 to longblock 2.0 Carb motor.

The intake manifold has a green substence/ residue.

Will inspect manifold later the week but wanted to know if the misfire is due to vacuum leak issue and or potential coolant leaking into manifold.

Closing half of carb with hand the misfire goes away. Cant find any other leaks on system. Not even on carb.

Cheers

Pictures would be helpfull. But is the coolant you a using green?
Sounds like it is running lean, did you adjust the idle mixture a bit richer ? The bigger motor will, want a bit more fuel.

Panic,

Dont see coolant level dropping as actually. Could it be fuel.
