1.4 golf mp9 (engine knocking sound) oil light flashes

please help


Started the car there is a loud engine knock as if pistons/valves are jumping around and the oil light beeps really loud the car sounds like a tractor what could possibly be the problem

Do i do compression test /new pistons /new valves as the timing is also out (set timing again ) as dipstick is fine the the engine knock gots me worried (bearing knock might occur ?

if the oil light is on and there is a knock then yes you have no oil pressure and you are damaging / already damaged the bearings.

Do i replace the bearing pistons valves and bearing knock regarding cost to fix how much is estimated coz then im going to have to buy a new motor ?

Possibly damage to the crank and conrods even cam if it went on for long enough. One really cannot say till you open up.

Will open it up the weekend ey im stressed i am already thinking the amount of money its going to cost and i donmt trust my machanic he has a habit of ripping people off .
