Hi all,

Where can i buy liquid polyurethane from. Want to diy some engine mounts.

Im based in dbn.

Would 80A shore be too hard for a daily drive?

Yes, there are many things to consider when working with and pouring poly. I work with the stuff everyday and unless you are doing a hand mix getting the mixing ratio and mix of the curative and prepolymer perfect the properties will be no where close to the tech sheet.

I assume you want to hand pour, then you would need a cold cure elastomer of say 60A shore hardness.

thanks for the info, i got the Pur 80 product, i think i got the mixing ratio wrong, it cured so fast, as i was pouring into the mount... looks like i will be buying a new mounting.

80A will be too hard for daily use in a car. Follow the manufacturers guidelines of the mixing ratio and you should be fine. The gel time and setting time for the product will also give you an indication of your working and curing time.

To give you an indication 80 Shore A is used to parts we manufacture that work on iron and coal ore so you can imagine how much more robust it is compared to rubber.
