Agreed 100%, I just didn't want to publicly bash two well known companies. Unfortunately though, they need to step up and join the party, especially with the like of TMSS doing such flawless work.

Doesn't seem bad at all, ProFit wanted to rash me R3100 for a 63mm straight pipe and downpipe when I got my TDi - this was in 2014.

Yirr R4k

The guy at pro-fit already told me I can't go bigger than 50mm.

The local exhaust shops charging me R1850 for mild steel 50mm 2 box setup.

I paid about 1900 for my 50mm with a 57mm tail piece 2 box SS Viper system about 5 years ago and the system still sounds awesome with no leaks.

Only problem that its quite a drive from Paarl.

Closest one is Bellville, giving them a call tommorow to enquire about fitting 57mm.

Response from powerflow back in 2011:
"I can recommend and offer you the following for your 1.4i Citi Golf

1. Brospeed Branch Manifold for R1950 fitted including a 3 year guarantee. This branch manifold effectively gives each cylinder of your motor its own exhaust pipe thereby improving efficiency and performance. Your car will be more powerful and fun to drive and use less fuel.

2. Complete 50mm stainless steel POWERFLOW exhaust system for R1650 fitted including a 5 year guarantee. This exhaust system will radically improve the flow of burnt gases from your motor thereby again improving performance and efficiency even further and it will give your car a nice sporty tone too.

I do not recommend a 57mm exhaust for your car because this pipe size is too big and will cause your car to lose power and make a big noise. 50 mm is the ideal size for your 1400 fuel injected motor – this is based on years of experience of modifying and tuning VW’s BUT I will gladly build a 57mm system for you if you insist that this is what you want.

A complete 57mm stainless steel POWERFLOW exhaust system will cost R1800 fitted."

I went with 50mm 2 box system and brospeed branch sounded nice.

I also did a 63mm powerflow system on my 9n3 gti recently and paid R2950.
