Hi Guys

I am New on Polo 6R 2013 Model, i wanna upgrade the DSG farts sound or the Exhaust sound so i wanna know what must be changed as someone told me i must change downpipe only or Downpipe and exhaust, and does it affect my car perfomance to be low or it will be faster?

Can it sound like this after changing downpipe only? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uimb9BfG0as

Wanna change it ASAP and can you guys refer me to the which dealers are the best,

Thank you

Yup change the Dp...76mm to 63mm. Non resonated. Picks up power a lil and you get the dsg fart sound. Which part of gp are you from?

An aftermarket downpipe would be needed to get the dsg farts. A fulle exhaust will further enhance the tone but the dp is more than sufficient. Your power should increase by approx 3-8wkw. Contact TMSS Motorsport in jhb, they probably the best in the business.

Howzit all,

Got my polo gti 6r a couple months back and need some proper advice.

Whenever I dice golf 7 gtis my car holds it's own but eventually starts losing at the high speed power.

Now in order to avoid losing at that power, would an intake , downpipe and ecu remap overcome this? Would I be able to take a g7?

Also side note, I took my polo gti for its 60k service and the service adviser told me that my car hold the gears too long, I've noticed myself that the needle will try creep into to the red a bit and by then the car has already hit the power dip. Can i take my car to VW for a dsg flash to fix the prob or must I go to a tuner?

Looking forward to responses

Sup Jared... yeah take 2 vw ask them to.check it out for you. Maybe it needs a fash or could be something else. As for the 7gti..its a 2.0l.and your car is a 1400. So top end in the golf is stronger on the top. Do.dp exhaust induction and pnp or software and intercooler.

Hi guys,

My car just went in for its 60k service at Hatfield VW and they advised that I need to have the DSG service done as well. Current Mileage is +-43000KMs.

Would just like to find out if there are any reputable RMI approved companies that carry out this type of work in the Gauteng area?

Thanks :hurray:

Larry wrote:Happy with mine. It's used 1L of oil in 8600kms. Still going well. I do have that "Clutch rattle" over speed bumps, as well as the "Jerk" Which is slightly annoying, but I think its a DSG Software issue that will hopefully be resolved by an update. It feels almost like a delay, waiting for some clutch "Slip" and then suddenly the complete release of the clutch. But yeah, slightly annoying in traffic.

Another issue I have is this DAMN indicator bulb thats playing mind games with me.....it gives the bulb out error on the dash and the relay flashes overtime, but on the outside of the car ALL the lights are working as they should. :bang:

Not sure if you guys know, but the 6R GTI, like alot of the new "sporty" cars (Including the new M5) has a "sound generator" to reproduce the engine note inside the cabin, by vibrating against the windscreen. Which I think is a little lame, so I dissconnected mine. DAMN the Car is DEAD Quiet now. Too quiet in fact  and when you give it the beans it sounds like the 1.4 it is..... So I think I'll be putting it back in.......
How does one disable this feature i think it's annoying sometimes.

I have changed only the DP at Powerflow in Edenvale for R2800.00 but i am thinking of changing the exhaust system so that it will be too loud.I can refer you to go Powerflow.
