Turbo manifolds 16v

Post by Vw 8v kid »

Howzit oaks! Currently building myself a 16v Turbo manifold and just wanted some input from those who are more knowledgeable when it comes to manifold designs...basically I wanted to know if a full tubular manifold with equal length runners ect is a lot better than a simplier tubular manifold with a sort of log design. So will I be shooting myself in the foot with going for a more tubular log design or do they do the job just fine ? :hi:

I’m not aiming for massive power will be happy with 180-200kw alothough I’m more of a NM hunter than kw dyno queen.

Setup will be as following:
Agg bottom end
16v 9a head
Garret gt25
Will be running .8 - 1 bar boost

Thanks man!

Tubular cracks les, spools faster and works just fine. You might see a slight Hp gain with an equal length runner at high rpm.
So no issues. Have you considered just buying a cast one from MR turbo?.

Perfect Power dealer. I do dyno tuning.

Howzit Panic! Ok cool thanks for that! Will just carry on with the tubular then! Nope I haven’t as I’ve already started making the manifold and need it to be mounted differently to what the cast manifolds offer!
