Fuel in the oil

Post by Mvuyiso »

Hey guys,

Had posted last week about my car having a misfire and low oil pressure light. Anyways it turns out the reason the oil light came on was cos the fuel was mixing with the oil somewhere, did an oil change, and the dip stick still smells strongly of fuel.

Any reason as to where or why the fuel and oil are mixing?

FYI, last mod I did before this started was HPFP

Car is 8p S3 CDL

Over fueling in its moer in. Get a diagnostics done. You will **** up your block if you keep on driving like this, alternative, go back to stock fuel pump and clean oil.

Did you try a new pump or a old stock pump. It can be the same problem on both and common on a used/old if they have been sitting on a rack for a while.

Are these pumps more stingy with fuel?

Lol.. well it wasnt a new pump, but my thinking was what are the odds they both bad? Thinking the lambda sensor is bad today but is it possible that overfueling can over fuel to an extent whereby there's fuel in the sump?

Bad lambda will show up in a scan and will never cause fuelling to go to the point where it puts so much fuel in the oil that you notice it. They have a logical shutoff point in the management where it will stop considering a lambda reading

Well my next creative way of wasting money is having the injectors reconditioned. Will take the car to a proper garage now tho. Here's to hoping my warranty pulls through

Decided to tow it to Yosh later this week rather rather, thought about the dealer route but wasn't sure how they'd feel touching a modded car

Well as panic mentioned, the issue was just a bad HPFP seal, which thanks to VW warrants a new hpfp lol. Thanks guys
