Goo day gents,
What would cause this turbo Flutter on my S3 8L apart form a defective DV ?
I have tested my 710N DV and it works perfectly.
Boost leak perhaps ??
Should I do a Leak test ?
Low down rpm turbo flutter ?

Re: Low down rpm turbo flutter ?
Mine did this before. Was a vacuum hose that popped off the top of the dv. Have a look at the vacuum hoses around there. Could possibly be torn.

Re: Low down rpm turbo flutter ?
I've checked, no obvious leaks.
Car also doesn't seem to be boosting properly. Just the turbo flutter is very noticeable.
I think I'm gonna do a boost leak test and go from there.
Does anyone have a fitting for a K04 TIP to do the Test ?
I only have 1 for my A3 K03S
Also, when fitting the Boost guage, where is the best place to put a T-piece for Vacuum ?
I know most use the FPR, but is it it the best place ?

Re: Low down rpm turbo flutter ?
T it from the DV line, that way if it pops off it doesn't drop the pressure to the FPR causing a drop in fuel pressure.

Re: Low down rpm turbo flutter ?
Have you done any deletes? Mine Fluttered and was not boosting fully. Changed to a new DV and did the same. Bypassed the N249 and it went away.

Re: Low down rpm turbo flutter ?
I'm actually thinking of doing that delete.
If it works it probably means there is a vacuum leak.
Any simple ways to test for Vacuum leaks ?
