Polo 9n3 gti repairs cost.

Hi guys. I am in need of help desperately. My polo 9n3 gti was stolen on Wednesday afternoon while I was in randburg. About 2 to 3 hours later the car was recovered in Eldorado park and is now sitting in the pound. Had a look at the car basically they messed it up. They messed up the dashboard and ignition, ripped out the front grill and all bumper grills including the fogs. They didn’t think of using the lever inside to open the bonnet and forced open the bonnet and damaged the bonnet and the latch. Damaged the windscreen. Ripped out the battery. And finally ripped out the ECU and damaged the ecu harness as well.

Now for whatever reason the insurance doesn't pay out, what will it cost to have the car repaired taking into account all what I have described above. If the insurance does pay out I could still have the option  to buy the wreck. Oh and by the way when I saw the car on Wednesday the engine ws still intact but by the time the insurance gets the car from the pound half the engine would probably be stripped. Any help guys please.

That sounds like a LOT of damage. Don't see why the insurance wouldnt pay out, unless you got a shitty insurer.

I wouldn't want it back. it could have more damage than what you can see.

I would not want it back. Going to be a pain to fix everything correctly, as it should be, never mind expensive.

Let the insurance pay out and walk away.

Because I was using the work purposes and it is not insured for business use. Anyway I'm just looking at options I have if does come to that. Will have to wait for them to give me an answer and hopefully soon s9 I can get mobile again.

Just word of advise don't give much on why they might not honour the claim - had a friend whereby an insurer declined the claim after they snooped around on social media.
