1.2 tsi Highline Slipping Clutch

Post by Rocca »

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased 2015 1.2 tsi highline with +- 26000km on the clock. To my surprise I noticed the clutch starting to slip when being in heavy traffic. The dealer booked the car in to sort out the issue. I would just like to confirm is this a common problem with these cars?

Yes , the polo TSi units do have a few failed units. Either clutchpack or mechatronics are out

The dealer has been helpful they are sorting it out. I just hope it’s not a recurring problem with these cars.

How is this neither mentioned in the OP's post nor the first questioned asked? If it is a manual then there may have been a premature failure or the previous owner must have driven like a real tonsil for the clutch to pack up so early.
