Howzit gents!
Don't know if a thread like this has been made but I'm currently sourcing parts to build a boosted 8v and just want to get some ideas, so if you guys don't mind sharing maybe a photo of your engine bays it would help out a lot! Planning on using a tdi stock lunchbox cooler since I don't have space up front because I got my aircon condenser there

Re: 2l 8v turbo
almost as a rule I actually don't build 8V turbos and definitely not in Golf 1 shells as it is seriously space limiting. Are You doing cross flow 8V or U-flow?
Your post does not say anything about specifics.
16v almost always make more power and are much easier to package.
You could probably place a cooler where the battery would sit and still get some air to it.
Move the battery to the boot. We always do that with Golf 1 turbo builds to make space for plumbing.

Re: 2l 8v turbo
Jup agree with panic.
Also wanted to turbo my 8v in the mk3 but space is very limmited. I actually already have 8v turbo manifold, turbo and Intercooler.
Planing on selling it soon. Busy building a NA 2L shortblock instead.

Howzit man! Sorry it's a u flow and was planning the same thing so I've sourced myself a tdi side mount stock cooler that I'm going to use where the battery is! Will have to see since I'm just doing it due to boredom
