Petrol mix with oil

I have a 1989 csl 1.6 golf
My golf was smelling of petrol amd petrol was mixing with the oil,i changed the petrolpump ,but still petrol in oil ,i install a electric pump and the smell is 90% better but still petrol in oil,golf perform well and is not smoking at all,please help

change the needle and seat or check the float level Is there a return to the tank. If no then too much pressure.
hope you at least drained it and put fresh oil in

Thanx for reply, I am not a mechanic,sorry, therefor what do you mean by "too much pressure?

Not sure how to explain too much pressure in any other way.
If you have no return to the tank the needle and seat is trying to fully stop whatever your pump is delivering.
So it's trying to block a whole lot of flow. Think of closing a hosepipe hole with your thumb.
So with no return the pump may everwhelm the needle which causes the carb to flood.
