Coming Home / Leaving Home Lights

Hi All,

Stick standard polo 6r (1.6 C/L).

Quick question - I would like to enable Coming Home/Leaving Home Lights (I know its as simple as using VCDS) - my question is I am finding some conflicting information as to whether or not you need "Auto Lights" to be installed.

Essentially all I want is when I lock / unlock my car - the lights come on for a short amount of time.

So would I need to install auto lights?

Not sure about the 6r Polo's but on the Mk5\Mk6 Golf\Jetta you do not need autolights to enable CH\LH lights if you have a Midline or Highline CECM.

You do however get aftermarket autolight kits that gives the feature of CH\LH lights.

Depends On the year - but most VW's do - I should know mid december so Ill keep people up to date.

I dont see why it Would need the autolight function if its just a circuit, and using the onboard computer to timeout the circuit.
