All citi's from the 2002 Life onwards are essentially the same car, just with different badges and interior trim. Apart from a dashboard and engine management change around 2005/6 - literally everything else is the same.

Except for the Xcite (i think) which came from the factory with a nice little sound system, and the "mk1" which technically is a limited edition kinda

IMHO a citi is a citi. If youstrip it of the dash and rims and fuel injection. It's just another chico... I will never pay anything over R30k for any citi

Dude I once bought a 1.3 chico with a 2.0l 8v conversion. All it needed was a new dashboard. All in all I paid 25k for it. What a blast, besides the petrol consumption it ran really great. But In no way will I go over R30k although I sold it for R35k *cough cough

I personally have never understood the hype when people say a "new" citi - every model has only ever had different decals, rims, dashboard and interior trim. Mechanically, there is no difference.

When you get down to it, a 1.4/1.6 Life is no different to and other Citi released after it. You can easily convert a life to blues or a velociti with just a sticker and seat change.

The only exception being the Citi R, which had a ricey body kit and a 1.8i motor. Nothing particularly special about it but people **** their pants and paid ridiculous amounts of money for it.

Not true , The last was the Mk1 Limited edition numbered from 1 - 1000.

There's nothing special about the wolf edition, purely a handful of cosmetic changes. Think of it as the successor of the Citi.com

It's a Citi.com with dark grey rims and some stripes down the side.

Came in 1.4 and 1.6, just like any other Citi.

The Citi/Mk1 was the peoples car , it was special cause it was affordable, robust, quick , easy to drive and almost anyone could work on it.
31 years of production and 500 000+ units sold says it all!

Hard to find unmolested ones though. IF or WHEN you do, the owner wants an arm and a leg.

Last decent CTi i saw was going for 55K for a 95 model
