Howzit all
I am not the very hands on regarding the technical stuff so please excuse me if I'm missing the point.
Yesterday I drove my beloved 09 CitiSport 1.4i, it does not get driven much due to the other being used for work. I stopped at the garage to top up the fuel and proceeded to drive down the road to PnP and noticed a slight fuel smell but though I just came from a garage so no issue.
Until I got back to the car and noticed a puddle under the car on the driver side not far up from the rear wheel and the strong smell of petrol. Got home quick and the dripping continued all the way home and when I got there.
When I knelled down to check I saw what looks like a small cylinder which after google seems to be the pump leaking on the end towards the back of the car. While the car idles it drips quit a bit but stops dripping few seconds after I switch car off.
I know I cannot drive like this and wont. Is this a complicated thing to replace, or isit just as simple as swapping the part out. And can I attempt it or should I rather take it to a mech?
Thanks in advance

Re: Citi leaking fuel
Sounds like the fuel pump that is leaking. It is r ally simple to changebthose on your car but first make sure it is not just a loose clamp or pipe journal before splashing out on a pump.

Re: Citi leaking fuel
Thanks Panic,
Can I ask what are you referring to when you say loose journal?
Will tighten all clamps around it and anything else I can and see if it stops the dripping.
Got a shock when I called VW for a price on the part

Re: Citi leaking fuel
It will look like a bolt through a pipe with a washer each side of the pipe.
