hi team,
I am not very clued up with cars but I just heard a funny sound while driving this morning.
So you know how an old wooden floor sounds like when you step on it? Thats the sound I hear each time my car comes to a stop or when i take off.... I dont know if its my shock or engine mountings or if there is something else it could be.....
Help me with some direction if you can??

Could be engine/gearbox mounts, lower control arm, suspension or steering rack bushes...

Does the mk3 have are same exhaust joint as the mk1 on the downpipe? If it does it could be the cause of the noise as the engine moves forward or backward with load.
