Mid way to a morning meeting I hear the ping sound coming from the dash, the sound like makes your sphincter weld itself shut. In red I see an oil can with ENGINE OFF below it. I do as I am told.
Below the plastic engine cover I find a birds nest of fan belt bits, the belt is 50% intact and has taken out a wire, looks to be a sensor lead, but to what I cannot be sure.
The car has been put on a flat bed and is on the way to SAC, VW wanted a few thousand just to quote and Ferroli don't carry the tool set for this engine.
Any idea how many millions it'll be to replace a fan belt, assuming no pullies were damaged.
This is the first work to take place out of motorplan, any recommendations for a pro Touareg workshop in cape town?

Re: V8 TDi Touareg - no oil pressure
took out the oil pressure sensor lead. Ferroli is just lazy - you don't need much Special tools to change a friggen fanbelt.

Re: V8 TDi Touareg - no oil pressure
Fan belt replaced and sensor lead fixed.
Back on the road within a few hours at surprisingly very little cost.
