Polo 1.2 tdi 2013 model.
Good day members I'm clueless, my car started some strange sound from cambelt side, I've changed my cam last year November but i forgets to buy the full kit which include tensioner. The workshop manager only called me when I've already left the workshop. So i had to let them continue changing the belt only so now that I'm hearing sound coming from the cam I'm suspecting the tensioner. Any ideas what might be the problem?//cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5a9d248e7b3 ... edited.mp4

Re: Strange sound coming from cambelt side
That sounds horrible, I wouldn't drive it.
But you've answered your own question really. I'd change everything again. Replace all rollers and tensioners + Waterpump if you haven't already, and use a NEW belt. Chances are that that one has already taken a hit.

Re: Strange sound coming from cambelt side
Most likely a tensioner failure, I did something similar on my old Audi and then had to replace the cam belt again.

Re: Strange sound coming from cambelt side
Thanks for your input much appreciated. I've went back to the workshop and they diagnosed the problem and find out that it's actually the Aircon Pump. So I'm trying to check which option will be much better for me now. So I want to know of i can only change clutch and bearings since I'm struggling to get an affordable one.amstel18 wrote:That sounds horrible, I wouldn't drive it.
