Despite the potential ruffling of some feathers within the thread, it contained some useful info that members of the club would have benefited from - this was supposedly why the OP created it in the first place, yes?

If any specific post was not in line with the forum rules, the address it with the user and edit the post accordingly.

But to delete the whole thread is in extremely poor taste.

The thread should not have been deleted - at most just cleaned up.
The action taken was contrary to our policy and we're discussing this now.
